Fun & Fellowship

Laughter and friendship can heal and transform
even the most stubborn among us.
Discover the beauty of rest and play.

FOYER GROUPS

“Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread from house to house and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46-47

Foyer Groups (from the French word “foier” meaning “hearth” or “home”) are small groups of roughly 8-10 parishioners who meet 5-7 times a year for meals and conversation (group decides). It’s a wonderful way to meet new people, explore new and old interests together, and gain a new sense of belonging. There is no formal agenda or assignment.

Each group decides when and where they would like to meet. Some ideas would be a potluck at home or a meal at a restaurant.  We even have a group for foodies who like to dine in D.C. Newcomers are invited to join at any time.  Click here to sign-up.

GAME NIGHTS

Escape from the cold and enjoy a night of fun and meaningful connection with board games, cards, food, music, and ping-pong.

MARDI GRAS
PANCAKE SUPPER

Everyone is invited to dress up with festive beads and masks for a delicious supper of pancakes and celebratory indulgence. The term Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday,”, referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting and religious obligations of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday. The term “shrove” comes from the word “shrive,” which means to absolve.

LADIES & MEN’S NIGHT OUT

3rd Wednesday of the Month, 6:00 PM
Take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a casual evening of fellowship and good food.  Check the calendar for the latest location.

BOOK CLUB

The Book Club gathers every 6 weeks for discussion and reflection over a fiction or non-fiction selection. The Book Club is open to everyone and all contribute to the selection of books.
