“Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread from house to house and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46-47
We areforming new foyer groups for the season. Foyer Groups (from the French word “foier” meaning “hearth” or “home”) are small groups of roughly 8-10 parishioners who meet 5-7 times a year for meals and conversation (group decides). Joining a Foyer group is a wonderful way to meet new people, explore new and old interests together, and to gain a new sense of belonging to the St. Paul’s community. There is no formal agenda, nor any assignment; the only request is that each group say grace before meals.
Each group will decide when and where they would like to meet. Some ideas would be a potluck at home or a meal at a restaurant. Once we have a list of those interested we will share groupings and contact information. Don’t worry about the size or condition or your house or whether you “can cook.” The point is to build meaningful friendships.
We are also creating a new group for foodies interested in visiting restaurants in D.C. Newcomers are invited to join at any time. Sign up below.
